PA AgroLead has launched a project to develop a value chain for seed potatoes in the Naryn region as part of the GOPA-AFC project ‘Agrofinancing of Value Chains’ in Kyrgyzstan. The aim of the project is to develop a value chain for seed potatoes, improve the quality of seed material and ensure farmers’ access to high-quality seeds. As part of this project, seeds of five super-elite varieties have been imported: Camellia, Colombo, Silvana, Perdiz, and Challenger from the Dutch company HZPC. On 12 May 2024, super-elite seeds were sown in the At-Bashinsky district of the Naryn region with the participation of interested farmers, local authorities, and project representatives.
