Practical application of knowledge by farmers within the KOICA/Good Neighbors International project
AgroLead is pleased to announce the successful application of knowledge gained by farmers during training sessions as part of the ‘Comprehensive Rural Development in the Kyrgyz Republic’ project. Azizullo Satybaldiev, a member of the CDS 1 Zhoosh farmer group in the Osh region, purchased a Holstein dairy cow thanks to funding from the revolving fund. As a result, he significantly increased his milk yield compared to local breeds.
During the training sessions, Azizullo learned how to produce corn silage, which enabled him to improve the quality and quantity of milk. Previously, he had only used dry feed, but now, having seen the effectiveness of succulent feed, he has started producing silage himself.
Planning for further development, Azizullo intends to replace local breeds of cattle with more productive pedigree breeds, as pedigree cows produce 2.5 times more milk when properly cared for. He is also considering introducing green hydroponics to improve livestock feeding.
