Agrolead, within the framework of the “Berekeliuu Aimak” project, trained farmers of Batken region in growing high-quality apricots, apples, and cherries, and established the cooperative “Batken Berekeliuu Aimak” to increase farmers’ incomes.
To support the cooperative and its members, a 500-ton capacity cold storage facility was built in the village of Zhany-Zher, Batken district, in cooperation with the local administration and KOICA/Good Neighbors International. During the testing phase of the facility, the cooperative, with support from Agrolead in warehouse management, was able to generate significant profit.
Currently, a similar cold storage facility is being constructed in the Kyrgyz-Ata village administration, which will be handed over to the cooperative “Kyrgyz-Ata Almasy.”

The participation of farmers was financially supported. The “Batken Berekeliuu Aimak” cooperative shared its experience in working with farmers and partners, managing accounting and taxation issues, operating the warehouse, and demonstrated in practice the process of cold storage management.
The participants returned home with valuable knowledge and hands-on experience, promising to apply it in their communities.
