AgroLead Public Association is implementing the project “Improving the productivity of rainfed lands in the Bazar-Korgon district of the JalalAbad region”, as part of the Integrated Regional Development program (IRDP) co-financed by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Within the framework of the project, AgroLead educates interested farmers in the field of conservation agriculture. In the fall of 2019, winter Elite class wheat of the Steklovidnaya-24 variety was sown. The total sown area was more than 80 hectares of rainfed land. Sowing was carried out by a zeroseeder. Conservation agriculture is a farming system that contributes to minimal soil disturbance (i.e. direct sowing or sowing without tillage), maintains a constant soil cover and diversifies plant species. It contributes to the conservation of biodiversity and natural biological processes above and below the surface of the soil, which allows more efficient use of water and nutrients, as well as increasing the productivity and sustainability of crop production. We are pleased to share the first result of last year’s work
