At the beginning of the year, on the initiative and with the support of the British organization Palladium, the analysis of agricultural insurance in the Kyrgyz Republic was completed. The work was carried out with the participation of experts in agriculture, insurance and economics, among whom was a staff member of the PA “AgroLead”. During the analysis, meetings with farmers, insurance companies and other interested parties were held. Also, according to the analysis, a round table was held with the participation of deputies of the Zhogorku Kenesh, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and SMEs. As a result of the work, the Committee on Agrarian Policy, Water Resources, Ecology and Regional Development of the Zhogorku Kenesh KR decided to approve a working group to analyze the problems of crop insurance, agriculture and mechanisms for its implementation in the Kyrgyz Republic.
