Within the framework of the GIZ programme «Promotion of sustainable economic development in the Kyrgyz Republic» (NAWI), PA «Agrolead» began work on economic analysis for the following sectors:

• Tourism in Issyk-Kul and Osh regions.

• Livestock («Beef» subsector) in the Jalal-Abad / Osh regions.

In addition, an analysis of the risks and opportunities from climate change in these sectors, including the «Organic Prunes» value chain and the «Early Vegetables» value chain in the Jalal-Abad region, as well as the identification of measures to adapt and reduce the impact on climate change are carried out.

The analysis was started in February 2020, but due to the introduction of quarantine measures, field work was not possible. But despite these conditions, the work progressed remotely, a desk analysis was carried out, and field trips and meetings with interested participants in the tourism sector are planned soon.
