GIZ project «Monofloral honey – economic independence for rural women»

On June 24, in the village of Padysha-Ata, Aksy region, a Field Day was held on the theme «Monofloral honey – economic independence for rural women» for farmers in Aksy and Bazar-Korgon regions. The event was opened by the deputy of the district administration Damira Abdyldaevna and the project manager Kaethe Brakhan. The beneficiaries of the project, representatives of the veterinary inspectorate, as well as local authorities took part. On the field day, field trainings were carried out, where experts advised the beneficiaries. The event was attended by an expert on beekeeping Zhakshylyk Duishenaliev, an expert on medicinal herbs Natalya Alexandrovna and an expert on food safety of Aman-Greenfood LLC Dinara Abdykadyrovna. Representatives of this export company have expressed interest in purchasing monofloral honey, in particular sage and thyme honey, from beneficiaries. A mini-exhibition of the beneficiaries’ honey products was also held at the Field Day.
These activities are being implemented by the PA «AgroLead» within the framework of the project «Monofloral honey – economic independence for rural women», within the framework of the «Integrated development of regions» IRDP program co-financed by the European Union (EU) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ).
