As part of the project “On improving the productivity of rainfed lands of the Bazar-Korgon district of the Jalal-Abad region”, with the support of GIZ (German Society for International Cooperation), winter wheat was sown using a direct seeder. At this stage, wheat of elite reproduction of the Kazakhstan variety «Steklovidnaya 24» was sown on 82.5 ha. This year, 44 farmers of the Bazar-Korgon district are involved in the project. Next year, it is planned to involve more farmers.
The aim of the project is to increase the fertility of rainfed lands, introduce new resource-saving technologies, increase the productivity and welfare of farmers.
Agrolead employees are currently conducting trips to monitor seedlings of winter wheat.
