On December 2, 2021, a series of business planning trainings for actors of the «Natural Honey», «Adventure Tourism» and «Dried Fruits, Berries, Dried Vegetables and Nuts» value chains began in Jalal-Abad, Osh, Naryn and Issyk-Kul regions. The target participants of the training courses are the participants of the above three VCs: farmers, forest users, individual entrepreneurs, registered companies (involved in production, processing, export of goods, provision of tourism services), as well as persons operating in the field of tourism. The project is expected to train at least 160 participants. The trainings are carried out within the framework of the UNDP «Aid for Trade» project, implemented with financial support from the Government of Finland.
During the trainings, participants learn what business planning is, financial literacy, receive information on organizational and legal forms, business registration, access to grants and loans on import-export procedures.
During the trainings, the methods and tools of the International Labor Organization program «Start and Improve Your Business» (ILO / SIYB), methods of teaching adults: mini-lectures, work in small groups, group discussion, individual work on filling out a business plan form and a business outline are used. A business game is also held, where participants go through all business processes: planning, purchasing raw materials and goods, marketing plans, manufacturing and selling products, obtaining and repaying loans, etc.
After completing the trainings, participants have the opportunity to present their business ideas to the audience and get feedback.
The final trainings will take place in Osh at the end of December 2021. At the end of the trainings, the participants will be issued certificates that they have taken a course in business planning.
