Visit of a representative of Farm Frites, Jos den Boer, visited Bishkek

In October, a representative of the Dutch company Farm Frites, Jos den Boer, visited the Bishkek as part of the Dutch delegation. Farm Frites is a large potato processing company supplying French fries to different parts of the world. Today, Farm Frites is one of four suppliers of McDonald’s and KFC. The company has been on the market for more than 50 years and has plants all over the world – in Belgium, Holland, Poland, China. Farm Frites plans to build a potato processing plant in Almaty, Kazakhstan and is considering the possibility of growing seeds in Kyrgyzstan. In the office of Agrolead, a meeting between Jos den Boer and farmers of the Agrolead Plus cooperative took place. In November last year, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Agrolead Plus and Farm Frites and, by agreement, the cooperative took 3 tons of Lady Blanca potatoes for testing in Kyrgyzstan. Testing of seed potatoes was successful, which was discussed at a meeting in Bishkek.
